Diss Pupils Send Letters of Support to England Stars
July 16, 2021
Pupils at Diss Primary Academy Partnership have sent letters of support to the England football team after they were targeted with racist abuse following their Euro 2020 final.

Following the Euro Championship Final on Sunday, much has been written about the England football team—not all of it kind.
Year 2 pupils at Diss Primary Academy Partnership reminded us that kindness and empathy are so important by writing letters to the England squad.
Mr Hipwell, Year 2 Teacher, said, “Our children in Year 2 wrote letters to the England team. We had a class discussion about how players would be feeling after the shoot-out and about the fact that some people have been saying unkind things to them online. This led to us writing letters to let them know that we are proud of them.”
The letters have featured in the Diss Mercury and the Eastern Daily Press.
We are proud of our football team and also proud of our Diss students for writing such lovely letters.
