We have a two exciting opportunities to work as a Learning Support Assistant working with a child with Special Educational Needs on a 1 to 1 basis at Morley CE Primary Academy.
We are looking for the ideal candidate who:
- Is passionate and an inspiring classroom practitioner
- Is kind and patient and will enable our pupils to achieve to their highest ability
- Has the skills and ability to support children with their learning
- Has patience when working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Has a warm personality and a good sense of humour
- Shows initiative and enthusiasm
- Shows a willingness to learn more to support early communication (ie. objects of reference, intensive interaction, Makaton, PECS) and attend relevant training
- Excellent attendance and passion for their role
- Is sympathetic to our Christian ethos
- Is committed to building strong relationships with parents and the community

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list.
