Pay Scale: DoNESC Central Scale, Band A
Salary: Starting from £15,364 per annum pro rata (£20,828 full time equivalent)
Full Time/Part Time: Part Time
Total hours per week: 30 hours
This will be split in accordance with the needs of the schools. During term time this will be split into the below hours
- 26.5 hours between Peterhouse and Moorlands (1pm – 6pm Monday to Friday, 1.5 hours Saturday)
- The remaining hours can be agreed with the Estates Officer
Candidates should then expect a more flexible split of the total 30 hours during school holiday periods, and this will be decided and arranged in communication with the Estates Officer each term.
Term Time: Term Time + 4 weeks (42 weeks)
Start Date: September 2023

The Role
We are looking for a Site Technician to work under the direction of the Estates Officer/School Business Manager/Headteacher and in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school, to ensure that the school premises and contents are properly maintained, secured and ready for use as well as helping to ensure that the school is clean and tidy.
The Site Technician has responsibility, under the direction of the Head of Estates/School Business Manager/Headteacher, for the security of the school premises. The normal hours of attendance for work will be determined by the needs of the school and undertaken with agreement of the Head of Estates/School Business Manager/Headteacher. Key-holder responsibilities extend beyond regular working hours as the post holder has 24-hour responsibility for the security of the school premises.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Experience of caretaking or site security
- Knowledge of the basic principles of site management
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and resolve problems independently
- Able to carry out manual tasks
