We are looking for two highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic individuals to be Teaching Assistants for our new Enhanced Specialist Provision which we are opening up at Castle Acre Primary Academy as part of the Nar Valley Federation from September 2024. We have around 5 children starting with us in Reception who will access this provision as well as their class, some children already in school in Years R-2 who will do likewise and one older child already in school who will access the provision in a slightly different way. Therefore there will be up to ten children in the provision at any one time. The needs of the children are complex, mainly ASD or Global developmental delay based and we have met all the children who seem lovely. Liaison with our class teachers will be key so that we can all work in partnership to meet the children’s needs. Our SENDCO is highly experienced and supportive and based at Castle Acre as Head of School there and we have a strong record of excellence in inclusion.

  • Has a desire to enable every child to succeed regardless of the needs or abilities 
  • Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills at all levels 
  • Has experience of EYFS and KS1  
  • Is a good motivator 
  • Knowledge of Primary curriculum 
  • Can work under their own initiative.  
  • Has SEND or SENDCO experience  
  • Has the belief and expectation that children with SEND achieve.

 Castle Acre is a small school with around 70 children on roll and a lovely, supportive and capable staff team. The Nar Valley Federation of Church Academies are a family of three small Church of England primary schools and part of DNEAT (Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust). Our staff are wonderful!
