Our Local Governance Committees

The Department for Education published five pillars of quality for multi academy trusts.

The five pillars are:

  1. High-Quality and Inclusive Education
  2. School Improvement
  3. Workforce
  4. Finance and Operations
  5. Governance and Leadership

Primary responsibility for these areas is held by the Board of Trustees, but it delegates some responsibilities to the Committees of the Trust Board, including the Local Governance Committee (LGC) of each academy, and roles within the Trust Central Team via a document called a Scheme of Delegation.

Our Local Governance Committees consist of approximately 6 Trust Appointed Governors, 2 Parent Governors, 1 Staff Governor and the Headteacher.

The LGC meets twice each term.
