The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and skilled early-career teacher to join our Morley Primary Academy teaching staff on a part-time basis from September 2024.

The role will involve teaching all our Reception children and a small number of our Y1 children, working closely with an established colleague and the support of teaching assistant staff. The working pattern will be Mondays and Tuesdays each week.

The role is fixed term in the first instance but could be extended depending on future pupil numbers and staffing.

 

We would love to hear from you if / The successful candidate will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). For ECTs this means that you must successfully pass your Skills Tests
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and pupils, and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Experience in primary school teaching.
  • Evidence of sustained high quality teaching and reflective practice.
  • The ability to establish an optimum learning environment for our Reception pupils. (through planning and resourcing opportunities for learning through play, linking play opportunities to the curriculum and the school’s reading spine books, setting high expectations through quality resources and displays and a  high level of organisation and tidiness).
  • A supportive attitude towards the ethos and values promoted within our Christian school
  • Excellent communication, verbally and in writing, including with parents.
  • A hardworking approach, with high expectations of yourself and professional standards.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to support the wider life of the school
  • Understanding of the responsibility of every individual for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
